Spanish for children aged 9-10
The songs, games and activities in this Spanish lessons are suited to older children with a greater emphasis on role play. Pupils are encouraged to use the new language creatively as meaningful situations are introduced with words and structures based around the weather, days, months, birthdays, alphabet, sports, clothing, parts of body, food and drink and many other familiar subjects. Cultural aspects are introduced, famous towns in each country and tourism.
Skills
Encouraging confidence with words and phrases, developing listening, speaking, reading and writing skills whilst enjoying a variety of learning activities. Also increased depth in reading and writing skills.
The vocabulary from the previous programmes is expanded with increased focus on written language, genders and agreement of adjectives and clear and accurate pronunciation in role plays.
